Antioxidant

Along with healthy and clear skin, comes
everything else such as signs of aging,
diseases, and overall health. Antioxidants
are crucial to your well-being because they
rid the body of toxins. Therefore, they help
you rid the body of free radicals, slow down
the aging process, boost your immune system,
and protect you against cancer and heart
disease. I think I can say safely that anyone
would want to respect this rule as it might
save your life.

Most people don’t like healthy foods…but you
should know that they can be life savers.
If not for your silhouette, at least for your
health! A diet high in antioxidants protects
against the damaging effects of toxins. In a
recent study, it was shown that one population
who upped their diet to fruits and veggies,
reduced the risk of developing chronic bronchitis.

It is important to eat green vegetables as they
are prime in this diet. They contain a large
amount of potent phytochemicals, such as
lutein and indoles, which are thought to have
great antioxidants and health-promoting
benefits. Usually, the word antioxidant is
associated with the colour green…and that’s
why we call our vegetables, greens! Now let’s
see if you’re a green lover, or a green hater.

If you like green: You seek balance and harmony.
You are kind and generous and your perception
and awareness in relationships are good. People
who like green are great joiners of clubs and
organizations. You are very meticulous when
it comes to detail. The downside is that you
dislike sudden surprises, so you may be less
inclined to try something new. You have a big
appetite for food and gossip. If green is your
favourite colour, why don’t you experiment
with your eye shadows and eyeliners to combine
soft, subtle shades of mint and earthy tones
around your eyes.

If you dislike green: You tend to be resistant
to the established way of seeing or doing things.
You pull away from people, rather than join them.
You tend to follow your own path.

Keep Your Skin Healthy

You can purchase all the facial creams
you want, but there’s not way of getting
around your face breaking out…or drying
up! So what is the solution then? Because
we eat a lot of fatty foods here in North
America, our skin tends to be loaded with
fat and not enough anti-oxidants and water.
Our diet is not a healthy one, and I want to
inform people of the benefits they can when
they use the Earth’s natural resources.

The first and most important thing to help
our skin healthy as well as our bodies is water.
It’s true that doctors agree that you should
have eight glasses of water every single day.
Why? It’s just how much your body needs to
properly function and aid your skin at becoming
healthier and hydrated. Your skin needs water
for elasticity, and the lack of water will leave your
skin feeling dry.

Under-eye circles is the best sign to tell if you
need water. If you do have them, it means that
you don’t get enough water in your system due
to the skin being bruised as the fluid drains away.
Water also helps to prevent the sagging skin that
usually follows fat loss. It plumps the shrinking cells
and leaves your skin fresh and healthy.

Did you know that water also helps concentration?
You need water in your body to help you flush out
all the junk and pollutants. If you’re dehydrated, the
toxins in your body will just linger around your liver,
making you tired and unable to concentrate. Water
will wash all the dirt and poison out and will get your
system back up and running.

Water prevents and remedies fluid retention. Most
women get bloated just a few days before their period,
so the best way to fix this is by drinking water. It is
simply the best treatment you can do for yourself.

Not only that, but drinking water will cure your head-ache.
Three-quarters of your brain is actually water, therefore
if you’re dehydrated, your brain will be the first organ to
notice it! If you suffer from migraines, you should drink
a glass of water every 30 minutes. So there you have it…a
much simpler, cheaper way of staying fit, healthy, and
overall beautiful with the simplicity of water!

Get Sexy Coral Eyes

Most people do not associate coral as
a colour to be used on eyes. It will take
some getting used to, but once you
master this technique, everyone will be
begging to get your recipe and you just
won’t want to give in! Coral is a beautiful
colour and if used right, can make you
look astounding. Not only can you use
coral for your eyes, but you can use it on
your cheeks and lips as well.

Step 1:
Start blending some foundation over your
entire eye area as well as on your lids. This
will prevent creases as well as help the makeup
stay on longer. If you wish to use an eyeliner,
apply it now before you apply your eye shadow.
You can go with something black, charcoal, or
even liquid and just make a line at the top edge
of your eyes.

Step 2:
Get just a little bit of coral eye shadow onto
your finger and dot onto your eyelids and into
the crease. Do not go all the way to the brow
bone. If you wish to build up more colour, you
can repeat the step.

Step 3:
Get a little bit of gold highlighter and dab it into
the center of the lid and onto the brow bone.
Finish off by applying a clear eye gloss over the
colour for an extra sexy look. Apply two coats of
mascara onto your upper lashes only, starting
from the roots to the tips.

Define Your Eyebrows

As you may already know, eyebrows
are a very important factor when it
comes to looks. If your eyebrows are
taken care of it will show, whereas if
you let them grow and never take care
of them, it will just make you look like
a disaster! You can probably tell what
a big difference eyebrows make especially
when you go to the salon and ask for a
specific shape.

If you are using a pencil for your eyebrows,
powder, or gel to add definition to them, never
use the colour to create shape or outline past
the brow line. Make sure that when you do this,
the colour stays on your brows, and not out.
Do not try to extend your eyebrows because it
will look fake. There are many different styles
of brows out there, but you should just work with
whatever suits you. So when you go get them
waxed, ask the aesthetician what would suit your
face best. And of course everyone knows that if
you have dark hair, your brows should be dark as well.

If you’re going to use a powder for your brows, it
will make them look softer and prettier than if you
would use a pencil. If you’ve never used a brow
gel before it is just a quick choice and works in
two ways: it grooms your brows back into place
and also adds colour, defining your brows.

Start off by using a pencil to fill in the gaps in your
eyebrows with gently strokes. Start working from
the thickest end towards the thinnest. Get out
your powder and start blending it onto the brows
with a brush, still working in the direction that
your hair grows. If you don’t want your brows to
be too dark, you do not have to apply the powder.

Take a brow brush and brush through your brows
to blend in the colour. If you wish, you can finish
with a gel to set the colour in place and tame all
stray hairs.

Perfectly Polished Toes

A pedicure is what all women need to
unwind. There is nothing more soothing
and more relaxing that getting a makeover
for your feet! It leaves you feeling fresh
and fabulous! And let’s face it…without
doing your pedicure how would you
even face the world in the summer with
sandals on?

It is said that healthy, happy feet are
central in well-being, so you’ll definitely
feel much better after treating yourself
to a mini-spa. Start off by filing your tub,
or a little basin with warm water. Add
rosewater or essential oils to soften your
feet as well as relax you. Soak your feet
for about 15 minutes.

Clean your toenails and clip them. Get out
your file and file your toes or the rough
edges. Using an emery board, work carefully
in both directions to smooth away the rough
edges. If you decide to use a metal file, work
in one direction as it may be too harsh for
your skin.

Get some cuticle remover and rub it into your
nail beds. If you decide to trim your cuticles
make sure that you do so carefully and with a
sterilized trimmer. For something easier, just
push your cuticles back with a manicure stick
any clip any left over nails.
Using a skin file or loofah, remove dead skin
from soles of feet, making sure that you pay
special attention to your heels and balls of
your feet. You can use a pumice stone too if
you like. Massage an exfoliant cream into
your skin, rubbing it all the way up to your
calves. Rinse that off, and massage a
moisturizing lotion especially made for feet.

Almost done! Apply a neutral base coat to
fortify and protect your toe nails. Apply two
coats of your favourite colour and a clear
protective top coat. Let your toe nails dry for
about 20 minutes.

How to Use Eye Liner

Wet/dry shadow liner is probably
the most popular liner as well
as the easiest to use. They all
work very well, especially the
dark powder eye shadow colour.
To get this look, you will need
a square brush with stiff bristles
that will provide you with the most
natural look.

Choose a colour that suits you ( try
to match it with your outfit if you can).
Dampen your brush gently into the powder
eye shadow. When doing so, make sure that
the edge of the brush is well covered
into the colour.

Next up, pat the eyeliner brush
to remove any of the excess shadow.
Following your lash line, apply the
colour from the outer corner to the
inner corner of your eye, along your
upper lashes. Repeat the drill along
the bottom of your eye. This look
here is done, but just make sure you
don’t smudge your makeup, and let
it dry for a minute. When you have
finished, apply two coats of black
mascara and you’re all set.

Another really fun and playful
way of opening your eyes is to
use a double liner. A double
liner is when you actually use
two different eyeliners which
will give your eyes a very fun
and dramatic look. If you want
some suggestions, try pairing a
rich intense colour with a metallic
one or a jewel-bright colour with
a darker one. Colours such as charcoal
with silver, navy with gold, turquoise
with black, and violet with grey are
all fabulous combinations that will
make your eyes look completely amazing.

Now start off by using a liquid or a
pencil eye liner in a gold or metallic
colour. Start off by lining your upper
lids starting from the inner corner
of your eye to the outer and making the
line thicker as you approach the outer
corner. Do the same for your lower lashes
if you wish.

Next get your darker colour and line
your upper eyelids only, just above
the first line, flicking the colour
out at the edges. Don’t forget your mascara!

Pinks For Everyone 2

During the summer, use pink as a clue from
the weather. How? On a humid day you
will want to keep as cool as possible,
whereas arid days ,may make you want
to turn up the volume. For a cooler look,
choose raspberry and rose colours, or for
regular days warm pinky golds, hot pinks
and fuchsias.

In the winter, you can make a more dramatic
look with saturated and darker hues. A winter
pink colour will be deep and rich like a rich berry,
wine, burgundy and magenta.

During the fall, inspire yourself from the rich
array of colours that surround this season.
Cool skin tones look good in rusty pinks and
cranberry, whereas warmer skins can use
yellow pinks like salmon or pimento.

When spring comes around, use bright colours!
Cool tones look good in watermelon and carnation,
while rose and strawberry work for warmer complexions.

To know exactly how to use pink and what
kind of pink here are some easy pointers:

Blondes- pale pinks and all over shimmer for
extra radiance. Ash blondes look best in cooler
pinks, while golden blondes can use redder pinks.

Brunettes- lucky brunettes can experiment
with almost any colours just make sure you
stay away from pastels.

Redheads- redheads should use a sheer
veneer of very pale pink blush or a
dusting of pink shadow on the eyes.
Stick to paler, transparent pinks.

Asian skin- Use pinks that contain blue.
Peachy pinks can look sallow on Asian skin.

Dark skin- Glossy pale pink lips with an
orange sunset pink

Olive skin- Icy and frosted shades of pink
rather than reddish pinks.

Pink for Everyone

It is said that the pink colour is a
softened red and it associated with
sweetness and purity. A lot of people
associate pink with romance, delicacy,
refinement, good temper and tenderness.
If you like pink you are interested in the
world around you and you would like to live
in a peaceful, harmonious world where there
is no violence. Lucky for all of your pink
lovers out there, pink is used everywhere
now from your nails to your face to your
clothes, etc.

If you like pink you can create a sophisticated modern
look by combining medium-bright pinks with a nude
makeup palette. Pair that up with almost nude pink
lips and cheeks with a smoky grey eye shadow to
create a very mysterious, but a very feminine look
at the same time.

If you want to use pastel pinks, they add
just the right amount of blush to pale skins,
while darker skins look best in brighter, hotter
pinks. If you tend to darken in the summer,
make sure to switch your pale pinks to brighter,
bubblegum pinks and use on your toenails.

Get a glow by using a pink-toned highlighter on
your brow bone, temples, and cheekbones. Pink
is not usually recommended for redheads, but
you can use just a little bit of a powdery pink
shimmer on your cheekbones as it will look very
glamorous on fair skin. A shimmery pink eye, lip,
and cheek will make your skin glow and will draw
attention to your face.

Dark pink such as a cranberry colour can look
very romantic when used in the creases of your
eyelids and do the same on your cheeks, but avoid
pairing purplish pinks with true reds, which can
look horrible.

How to Curl Your Lashes and Apply Mascara

Eyelash curlers are a girl’s best friend.
They are also the cheapest and the easiest
way of curling your lashes. I know the
eyelash curler can look a little scare but
once you get past that fear, it’ll be very
fast and easy to use.

Open your curler, position it over an open
eye and look down. When your upper lashes
are in place, slowly close the curler and hold it
for a few moments. After that, open the curler
back up and remove it from your lashes. Do
the same thing to your other eye. TIP: if you
want your lashes to be even more dramatic,
repeat the drill.

After you finish curling your lashes, take out
your mascara. Make sure that it’s not dried
and old; it will not give your lashes the best look.
After taking the wand out, gently wipe it with a
Kleenex so that you don’t end up with clumps.

Start by applying mascara working on the upper
lids and from the outer to the inner corner of each
eye. Apply mascara lightly to the bottom lashes.
This will make your eyes pop. Because the mascara
can build clumps, you should apply two to three
coats of mascara on your lashes. Wait for your
lashes to dry before applying the next coat.

You should never apply mascara after curling
your lashes. Make sure you eyelashes are clean
before you curl them first, but make sure all
other makeup is applied before. To avoid clumps
and a health hazard, make sure you throw out your
mascara after four to six months to avoid the
build-up of harmful bacteria. Coloured mascara,
such as green or blue can be used by those with
fair skin or light eyes. For a more toned-down
look, apply a coat of black mascara with a hint
of blue mascara at the edges.

How to Use Liquid Eyeliner

If you want to use liquid eyeliner it
will give you a more striking accent.
Liquid eyeliner is very bold and
dramatic so use it very carefully.
Also remember that since it gives
the eyes such a dramatic effect it should
be reserved mostly for night time or for
a formal look.

When using liquid eyeliner make sure to
use the right brush: a small, pointed sable
brush. Remember to always make the line
thicker near the outer corners of the eye.
To start off, gently pull the outer corner of
your eye away from your nose with your
index finger. Try to get as close to the lid
as you can.

Next, start at the inner corner and work
the brush outward towards the outer eye.
Apply by using a smooth, continuous action
so you don’t break the line and smudge your
eyeliner. As you come towards an end, you
might want to tilt the brush so that the line
on the outer part of the eye is thicker than
the rest of the line.

Also don’t forget to have Q-tips close at hand
because if you make the line the wrong way,
you can easily fix it before the liquid eyeliner
dries. When using liquid eyeliner be sure to
apply the liquid eyeliner after applying eye
shadow and all other eye makeup, except for
mascara, which should always be applied last.

Always start at the inner corner of your upper
lid- this should be the thinnest line. If you choose
to apply eyeliner to the bottom rim of your eye,
make this line thinner than the one on the top lid.

Sexy Bathing Suits

I have been to Europe this summer and
have seen the new bathing suits styles
that are in this summer. It's all about
sexy, skin showing bathing suits! Now
if you don't have the figure to pull that
off, don't worry! There are also very
hot and elegant bathing suits that make
your body look slimmer.

First off, we have the ity-bity polka dot bikini.
As I've mentioned before, polka dots are in.
So this sexy bathing suit has polka dots all
over it and it looks amazing! Try one in a
blue background with big white polka dots
splattered all over it. The top ties at the
neck and the bottom ties on the sides.
This bathing suit is very revealing and
also comes in a thong for the bottom as
well. As most of you probably know,
bathing suit thongs are very popular
in Europe, but you'd have to be pretty
daring to wear that here!

Next we have the floral pattern bathing
suit. If you have a small frame and want
more curves, this is the bathing suit for
you. With a high cut on the bottom, it will
make your legs appear longer. The top
has some foam in it that you can remove
if you like at ties at the neck. The flowers
on the bathing suit gives the illusion of a curvier
body.

For the ladies with bigger curves, there are the
booty shorts bathing suits which emphasize the
back area as well as hide the love handles!
Something new this summer, the one piece
bathing suit. This bathing suit is very hot right
now but you have to be able to pull it off!
As you can see in the picture, the bathing suit
is cut in the middle from the top to the bottom
and has a bare back. It is extremely sexy but
classy at the same time.

Another bathing suit item that is hot in Europe
this summer is the wrap. Make sure the wrap
matches the colour of your bathing suit and
that you accessorize with it as well! Try wearing
same-coloured bangles around your wrists
or a cute bandana to keep the hair out of your
face when those hot days hit.

Get Beautiful Eyes

Eyes are very important because they can
either pop out and make you look completely
amazing or make you look worn out and tired.
Before you can give your eyes a make over you
have to know how to take care of them. Before
going to bed, take 2 minutes of your time to
remove your make up, it's worth it! After that
apply a moisturizing cream all over your face.
It is very important that you choose a good eye
serum so that it can reduce the puffiness.
I suggest any eye cream by MAC or L'OREAL,
they really do wonders!

To get those beautiful eyes, you first have to look
at your eye shape. If you need your eyes to appear
bigger, here's what you'll need to do. Choose a base
colour for your lids (I suggest something natural like
a brown or taupe colour). After having done that,
swipe a translucent powder over your lids and add a
little bit of shimmer on the brow bone at the top of
your lids, but only a little in the corner. To make your
eyes appear bigger, get a white, preferably sparkly
eye-shadow and apply it to the corner of your eyes
(at the top and at the bottom). Finish off by applying
two coats of mascara. When applying mascara, make
sure you start at the bottom of your lashes and work
your way up. Also don't forget to apply mascara on
your bottom lashes as it will open your eyes as well.

One thing that you should not do if you have small
eyes is applying black eyeliner at the top and bottom
of your eyes. This will actually make your eyes look
smaller instead of making them look bigger. So if
you're trying to get the "look at my eyes" effect, steer
clear of black eyeliners. You can use black eyeliner
on the top and bottom when you're trying to get a
dramatic effect on your eyes. Then you can swipe
some black eye-shadow on your lids as well as dab
a little bit of eyeshadow at the inner corners of your
eyes and you're all set!

Leopard Print Mania

I know leopard print has been way out of
the game for so long, but it's back! Celebrities
were seen wearing this peculiar, but hot item
this summer all over the runways! Although
leopard is hard to pull off, it's easy to do if you
know how! All it takes is to be a little daring,
to love fashion, and accessorize the right way!
If you can do all that, you'll be sure to look fierce!

First off, leopard print should not be worn all the time
(during the day...at lunch, etc). Anything with leopard
print on it should be kept for evenings like going out
to dinner, a fancy club or to a lounge. When wearing
leopard print clothing make sure that the item you
have on is the only one with leopard print (don't
wear a leopard print dress with leopard print boots
because then you'll end up looking like a leopard!)

It's important to remember that leopard pants are
still not in style, so cross that thought out! What is
in then? Leopard print dresses. Weather they're
silk or cotton leopard print dresses are ideal for a
fancy night out. Pair the leopard print dress with
hot strappy shoes and a black tote. Don't over
accessorize with leopard print as it is already
attention-getting.

The leopard print dress should be a classy one,
not trashy. Something that's just a bit above the
knee, or over the knee. It should also be form
fitting so that it hugs your curves well. You can
also wear a gown-style evening dress in leopard
print as long as the material of the dress is very
feminine (like silk). So again, no leopard print
pants or shirts, just dresses! Make sure the
dresses are classy and tasteful, and you'll be
the hottest chicka around!

Get Super Soft Skin

How is it that celebrities always seem to get the
best end of the deal? The best hair…the brightest
skin, the nicest lips, etc. In a world where beauty
is everything, a girl must do whatever it takes to
get up the pedestal…to an extent at least. Weather
it’s doing your hair, your nails or your makeup, a girl
always has to look “the part”. Fortunately, you don’t
have to have your hair, your nails or your makeup
done all the time. You can look radiant without any
of these things! How you ask? Simply by getting
super soft skin.

As we all know, the way our skin looks make a big
difference. Even if your hair is up in a bun and you
have no makeup on, if your skin look bright and soft
there’s no need for anything else! But how do you get
this super soft skin?

First, start off with the right products: exfoliator,
thick shaving lotion, brand new razor, a silky body
wash and a good moisturizer. To get super soft legs,
start off by exfoliating twice a week ( or you can get
a daily exfoliator). An exfoliator helps get rid of dead
skin cells. Next up, apply a thick coat of shaving lotion
and shave your legs in a slow movement
( don’t forget to use a new razor).

Having done that, wash with a silky moisturizing
body wash such as Olay Ribbons. This body wash
smells as good as it feels on your skin. Right after
you get out of the shower, pat your skin dry and
apply a moisturizer all over (make sure your skin
is still a little damp so that the moisturizer can penetrate
your skin). For a good moisturizer try anything by St. Ives
or Jergen’s.

If you want your skin to glow, lather up your skin with
a skin brightener like Jergen’s Soft Shimmer Moisturizer.
It will make your skin look super soft, super silky, and
super bright!

How to get Beautiful Cheeks

The secret behind every girl’s tantalizing smile,
are her cheeks! In order to get that beautiful,
glowing look you have to know how to really
transform your cheek bones into a work of art.

First off, start by washing your face with a good
exfoliating product. Next, apply a toner all over
your face. This will get rid of all the dirt that is left
over. Apply a moisturizing cream over your face and
neck. I like to use L’Oreal Day Cream. Use a cover-up
that is one shade darker than your natural skin tone to
hide any imperfections.

There are many different kinds of blushes that you can
use as well as different textures: cream blush or power
blush. Personally, I like to use to cream blush because
it gives off a more natural effect. Either way, apply
either of the blushes the same way.

Before you can do any of this, you have to make sure
that you choose the right shade of blush. If you’re fair
skinned, make sure that you use a lighter blush. Go for
blushes with a neutral base, using your own coloring as a
guide. Start applying the blush at the apples of your cheeks
(the apples of your cheeks is the fleshy area that plumps up
when you smile). Work your way up from the apples of cheeks
and go all the way up next to your temples. Make sure you
blend in well so that the outline of the blush can’t be seen.
Use circular motions while doing this. If you keep a light
hold on your brush, it will follow your natural bone structure
and lift off the side of your face, just where the blush should
blend out.

If you want a really pretty, natural glow you can use tint hints.
Use this on your bare skin for anywhere on your face, it will look
like you just got a kiss! Blend in gently with your fingertips on
the apples of your cheeks and go upwards.

The New Hair Colour

For years, hair colour has been very trendy.
Weather it was a light brown base with high
lights, blonde with black underneath or fiery
red, hair colour has been a thing that has
altered many looks.

Colouring your hair can completely change
your look for the better or for the worse.
Make sure that you always get your hair
coloured by a professional (unless you really
know what you’re doing) and that the colour
matches your skin tone! If you’re pasty
white, don’t try to die your hair dark black
because then you’ll just end up looking like a ghost.

So what’s trendy this year? Beautiful, shiny,
natural hair colour. It doesn’t have to be your
natural hair colour, but as long as it’s a natural
hue. We’ve had years of experimenting with
colour, and have now come to the conclusion
that a warm shade with just a little bit of sun
highlights is the best option. If you want to
colour your hair a light brown, do so but make
sure that it’s a shiny, shimmer colour in which
case I suggest using anything by Feria
(if you’re going to do it yourself). Hair
colour is very important and can make or
break you, so be careful of the colours that you choose!

The Straight Jean

Everything has made a come back these
past few years: the boots, the pants, the
shirts, the accessories, etc. One
style that left me dumbfounded was
the straight jean. These jeans made their
appearance in the late 80’s but
haven’t made their comeback until this year.
Although the straight jean is difficult to pull
off it does have its good qualities.
Easily worn with almost any kind of shoes or tops,
the straight jean can completely alter your figure for the best
…and for the worst as well.

You have to keep in mind that if you’re going to wear the
straight jean your figure has to be somewhat slim. It’s not
that you couldn’t wear the straight jean but it just wouldn’t
do you justice. Like I said before…you don’t have to follow
every single new trend that comes up if it doesn’t suit your
figure!

To be able to wear the straight jean, you have to know how to
wear it first of all. Flat shoes don’t really work, therefore pick
something with a heel (no platforms please). The straight jean
also works well if you’re shorter because it elongates your legs.
Most straight jeans are also high rise so you have to be careful
at what top you choose to wear.

Straight jeans are usually meant to be worn with fancy tops and
fancy shoes. Therefore, this attire is not considered to be very
casual. Also, when purchasing the straight jean, make sure you
opt for a darker colour, as the light colour will not flatter most people.

Pair the straight jean with a longer top and possibly a belt over that top
(see picture). This attire will make you look slimmer and taller.
As you can see in the picture, heels must be worn with the straight jean.

Sexy Belts

Accessories are a must for every outfit. You can
add spice to any style and any outfit with tons and
tons of accessories. Accessories can make or break
your entire look. It is always important to remember
that too many accessories can make you look like a
Christmas tree and no accessories will make you look
plain and boring.

A very important accessory that can be added to any
outfit is the belt. The almighty belt that we can now
wear over long t-shirt put on skirts and of course, jeans.
But the way you wear your belt is very important.

You first must be aware of your outfit: if you’re wearing
a shirt with a little bit of sparkle, and sexy going-out jeans,
you might want a belt with a little bit of sparkle. If you’re
wearing neutral colours for example, don’t put on a pink belt.
Make sure that the belt you’re wearing is noticeable, feminine,
and matches with your outfit.

The belts that are in the season are thick and usually sport
neutral colours. A lot of them have the pierced holes all
throughout which gives it a very cool effect and spices up
your outfit. Hemp belts are also very cool this season and
can be worn over a long, beige shirt or with jeans.

If you’re a little on the wild side, you might want to look at
thick belts with all kinds of different embroideries on it as
well as shapes, colours, etc. These belts are fun but make
sure that if you wear a belt like that you keep everything
else simple so you don’t over decorate yourself.

Another belt that is very popular this season is the leather
circle belt which again, can be very easily worn over long
shirts and looks super-hot with leather boots. So have fun
this summer trying on different styles and fabrics of belts
but just make sure that you look classy, not tacky!

Although fall isn’t here yet, we can still look
at all the styles that are coming out so that
when fall does come, we’re all set!

This fall is all about neutral colours. Nothing too
dark, but colours that represent the fall such as
beige, dark red and forest green. First up, we have
the fur sweater. This sweater has a fur lining at the
neckline for ultra-comfort and super sex appeal. Pair
this swear up with a pair of jeans.

Next, we have my favourite sweater which is called the
Slouch Potato. This sweater is a must-have for this fall
and goes great with super skinny jeans. It comes in a
variety of different fall colours and it just screams sexy
and romantic. Get this sweater at Victoria’s Secret!

We now have the long, belt sweater which can also be
paired up with jeans. This sweater is perfect for those
colder nights because it is a little longer, but very sexy.
Wear this sweater with skinny jeans and a pair of brown

How to Get a Quick French Manicure

Going to the salon every week to get a manicure
can empty out your wallet, but you don’t have to
worry about that anymore! Now you can do your
own French manicure, at home. It’s extremely
easy and doesn’t take up that much time.

First of all, soak your hands in warm water for about
10 minutes. Remove your cuticles
(you can get a cuticle removing lotion)
and cut off all the dead skin around your nails.
File your nails the shape that you want them to
be, although French manicures
look best with square nails.

Apply a clear coat to your nails to start off. You do this to
strengthen your nails. Next up, get a little bit of tape and
place it at the tip of your nail. You should place this tape
according to how thick you want the white stripe to be.
But before you place, the tape, apply the base colour to
your entire nail. Try something in light pink.

After your nails have dried, put the tape over the top of
your nail and make sure that is stays there! To get the
perfect quick French manicure, apply the white nail polish
above the tape. Do this to all your nails and you should be
done in about two minutes! Put a coat of gloss to make it
nice and shiny and to protect the nail polish and you’re
all set. You can try Sally Hansen French Manicure.

New Boots for Fall

I know that it’s still summer…well, middle of July to
be more precise, but we still have to think about what
is going to be hot this fall. Just like last fall, boots still
haven’t left the fashion scene. They are still hot and
very sexy, so make sure you go out and buy a couple of pairs.

Although last fall’s boots were high-heeled or platforms,
this fall, flat boots are making their way through. Knee-high
leather boots in skin-colour of black will look absolutely fabulous
over your jeans or with a cute mini-skirt. For ultra-comfort,
make sure you snag a pair of flat boots and you’ll look sizzling
hot. The trend this fall: boots that zip up at the front.

Believe it or not, the sweater-boots are making a comeback!
Wear these with anything you like (just no fancy dresses please).
If you’re looking to buy a pair in blue, black, or white make
sure you pair that with a jean mini-skirt and a sweater that is
the same colour as the boots.

Next up, we have the again flat boots (1inch heels) and a
narrow toe box. They include leather uppers, side goring, and
silver buckles ideal for what else but mini-skirts of course.

Last but not least, we have the tapestry boots. I know what you’re
thinking…complete and utter disaster! But paired with the right outfit,
these boots can look super hot! They usually have 3 inch heels and
most of the time they are ankle-boots which are ideal for jeans.

Using Cover-Up the Right Way

There are many different products on today’s
market from cover-ups, to concealers, eye-shadows,
lip-sticks, etc. But how do you know if you’re using
the right products for your face? Most people buy
whatever they can afford and then see for themselves
if the product is right or wrong. Sure you might not like
the shade of lip-gloss that you bought last week, or the
eye-shadow leaves creases, but it is of the utmost
importance what you put directly on your face and that
is your cover-up.

Golden rule number one: if you don’t need it don’t wear it.
Unless you’re going to some fancy outing and you’ve got your
outfit and your hair done, put a little cover-up on just to hide
those imperfections or any redness that might be present.
Whatever you do, don’t wear cover-up every day because
as well all know, your face is prone to break outs.

For those of us that are less fortunate, and don’t have
blemish-free faces, we must use cover-up whenever we l
eave the house. It’s a terrible thing; your face is breaking
out and you’re applying cover-up…blocking your pores
and your pimples which in turn gives you even more bad
results. So what is a girl to do? I’m sure that by now we
all know the simple rules of washing; using a face wash
that suits our skin (dry, oily, etc.) followed by toner and a
good moisturizer. But even doing that may not be enough.

It is very important that you choose a good cover-up and
never ever go cheap. Even if you shell out $40 for a cover-up,
it’s ok! You don’t want to buy something just because it’s
cheap and then have to invest on a ton of products following
some serious break-outs. So what is the right cover-up then?
The right cover-up is the one that suits your skin tone and
that won’t leave you full of pimples. It’s simple! Like I said,
spend some money on a good cover-up! I absolutely love the
cover-ups from Shiseido. They go on very smoothly and it
looks like you don’t have anything on! The best part though
is that it doesn’t clog your pores!

Make sure you apply moisturizer before you apply your
cover-up, and blend it evenly over your face. Make sure
you go down on your neck as well so that your cover-up
doesn’t end right at your chin because it is noticeable.
Most importantly, pick a cover-up that is one shade
darker than your skin tone so that you can hide your
blemishes and imperfections. Last but not least, wash your
face before you go to bed because even if it doesn’t clog your
pores, you don’t want to sleep with your cover-up and wake
up with a big surprise!

Bermuda Shorts

This summer, there is a wide range and a huge variety
of pants. They range from short shorts, to capris, to
knee-length,above knee, and last but not least, the
bermuda shorts. The bermuda shorts are pants which
end just above the knee. They are usually the same
width from top to bottomand have made a comeback
this year. Bermuda shorts were popular in the 60’s and
70’s but it seems that their sporty, yet classy appearance
has attracted all eyes of the fashion world.

So the question is should you wear bermudas? Why not?
They’re very comfortable and classy. They come in many
different styles, colours and materials. You can dress them
down, or dress them up.

My favourite combination has to be the bermuda jeans with
the black high heels and a white tank top. It is very classy
but sexy at the same time. You can pull that look off either
during the day or at night. There is also the sporty bermuda
style where you can wear your bermudas with white running
shoes and a tee. The bermudas can be linen and cotton and feel
super comfortable during those hot summer days.

You can pair the bermudas with almost anything. That is the
beauty of these shorts! They can be classy, sporty, sexy,
whatever you want to make them! Not only that, but they
make your legs look longer if they are paired with high heels.
Just like jeans, there are different styles of bermudas such as
the ripped-jean look which is very in right now.

So feel free to go wild with the bermuda shorts and try on
different feels and styles. They have crawled their way back
from the 1960’s and into the millennium so that you can look
and feel fabulous in them. So take advantage while this style
is still hot!

HOT TIP: Pair your bermudas with hot, black leather knee-length
boots!

Summer's Hot Colour

For the past few years, colours have been all
over the fashion pages. Bold, crisp, sunny colours
used on all fabrics and materials and on all kinds
of clothing. Nevertheless, every year there has been
the “it” colour. Two summers ago, pink was the
“it colour”, while last summer green and blue sparkled
everywhere.

So you must be wondering then, what hot colour is “it”
this summer? It’s not a hot pink, or a bright orange.
It’s white! That’s right ladies, crisp, immaculate white.
I’m not talking about the cream white or any other version.
This summer is all about the pure, clean white. White
represents innocence, so throw on a crisp white summer
dress and be admired for once!

The summer’s hot colour, white is suitable for any
and every occasion from a business meeting, to a party,
or any formal/informal gathering. White screams class,
innocence and purity. Dress in white, and you’ll be
recognized as someone that knows style.

Be very careful though not to over indulge in white,
although in a few situations it’s ok! Don’t wear white
pants with a white top and white shoes! You’ll blind
everyone! You can wear white pants, with a top that
has white in it but other colours as well. White capris
are also great this summer and let’s not mention white
summer dresses, my weakness!

Take a look at these hot pictures taken straight
from the runway and inspire yourself!
