How to Blow-Dry Your Hair
Sure, everyone knows how to blow-dry
their hair…it’s common sense after all.
But not a lot of people know how to
blow-dry their hair the right way. Yes,
there is a right way, and a wrong way…
that is if you car what your hair looks
like. If you blow-dry your hair the wrong
way, you can risk burning your hair and
damaging it for a long long time.
I’m sure that you notice the difference
when you blow dry your hair at home as
opposed to when your hair is blow dried
at the salon, right? Well with these easy
steps and some practice, you too can
blow-dry your hair professionally!
Start off by applying a straightening
serum or balm throughout your hair.
Make sure you distribute evenly through
damp hair and avoid the roots. Gently
detangle your hair as not to break it,
and allow it to air dry about 90% of the way.
Section your hair horizontally leaving one
section free. Pull up all the hair that is left
over and secure it with some bobby pins
at the top of your head. Divide the free
hair into 4 manageable sections. Make
sure each section is about the same length
and thickness. Get out your hair dryer and
a good round brush. Hold the drier in one
hand, and the brush in the other hand.
Pick up one of the sections and move the
brush and the drier vertically, with the
airflow going down the hair shaft. After
you have finished drying the free section,
start removing the other sections one by
one, and doing the same thing. Finish off
by spraying some hairspray.
