The Right Bag for Your Body

Like most women, you probably thing
that a bag is just a bag; if it looks cuts with
this outfit, it’s probably right; if it matches with
my shoes it’s good enough. Nope. Listen up ladies!
You can actually find the right bag for your body
type, no joke.

So let’s start off with the different styles of bags:
First there is the tote which is an opened top bag
with straps or handles. Then there is the duffle
bag which is a tall shoulder bag and has a wide
opening at the top. A hobo bag is a crescent-shaped
shoulder bag, while a filed bag is a flap-top shoulder
bag buckles or straps for closure.

A clutch is mostly worn with evening wear and
is very small and handheld. A satchel is a large, hand
held bag. A messenger bag is a large shoulder bag usually
worn across the chest. A cigar box is a small, hard, boxy bag.
A Kelly bag is a Hermes style which is named after Grace Kelly; it is
a large, structured handbag with different closures.
And last but not least is the baguette which is a long
and rounded shoulder bag.

A bag should always be proportioned to your
own size. So if you’re 6 feet tall and a size 15, a
little tiny bag wouldn’t be right for you. If you’re
a size 0, a large bag wouldn’t look good on you
either! So try the bag on before buying it; see if
it finds under your arms, and if it feels cramped or
hits your chest, the bag just isn’t for you!

A shoulder bag’s length will accentuate whatever
part of the body it comes near. If a bag ends near
your hips, it will draw the eye away from the hips,
and to your bag. For most women, a bag that
hits mid-torso is the best kind of bag because it
flatters the waist. So spend time when shopping
for a bag because it does make a difference!
