How to Glam Up Your Shirts and Belts

Now if you read my previous column, I said that you could jazz up your old jeans just by making a little rip here and there, or simply by sewing on some sparkly sequins.

Well, the same goes for your t-shirts and belts (well almost the same!). If you have a plain white t-shirt, you can always sew some pink or blue sequins right onto the outline of the v-neck, or the outline of your arm band. If you don’t like sequins, you can add little beads which come in hundreds of fun colours if you’re into a morel “natural” look.

Also, really hot this summer, you can add on little bows on your t-shirt (not very big at all) OR you can even tie a bow around your waist line to give the impression of a small waist and a bigger chest. Make sure you use something like silk or satin for the bow to give it a more delicate, polished look.

When it comes to belts…anything goes! You can even make your own belts! If you have an old pair of jeans that you don’t like, you can cut them up and make a belt out of them. Make sure to poke the holes and add a colourful string or ribbon as the tightener! You can also glue or stitch tiny seashells on your belt as well as sequins, glue sparkles, beads, and countless other things! You can also dress up an old belt by buying whatever kind of material you want, and stitching it over your belt!

Make sure you come back tomorrow for more fun style tips!
